The Sanilac County Community Foundation is pleased to announce the recipient of the 2021 Mike Stevens Scholarship is Emily Misany.
Emily’s parents are Nicole Ryno and Richard Pohl. She was a graduate of Sandusky High School. While in attendance at Sandusky High School, she was on the varsity cheer team. Emily plans to pursue a degree in hospitality management at St. Clair County Community College.
The Mike Stevens Scholarship was established in 2005, in Mike’s memory, by his family and coworkers at the Sanilac County Department of Human Services. It is available to area high school graduating students who have maintained a 2.0 GPA and have been accepted for admission to an accredited college or university. Eligible students must have demonstrated the desire and determination to meet and overcome personal/family challenges or obstacles in achieving his/her educational goals.
