The Sanilac County Community Foundation is pleased to announce that Courtney Brooks, graduate from Croswell-Lexington Schools is one of the 2019 recipients of the Esther M. Cuppen Scholarship recipients.
Courtney’s parents are Amanda Wrobel and Michael Brooks. During high school, she took part in sports such as tennis (4 years) and powerlifting (3years). Courtney attended the Sanilac Career Center her last two years of high school and was in the Careers in Education program. She also did community service projects, such as the Grinch for Good Campaign. Courtney plans to attend St. Clair County Community College for two years, and then transfer to Saginaw Valley or Central Michigan to major in secondary education and become a mathematics teacher.
Eligible applicants for the annual scholarship must be graduating seniors of Croswell-Lexington High School and/or Carsonville-Port Sanilac High School who are in need of financial assistance to attend college in the field of education or related field.
