The Sanilac County Community Foundation is pleased to announce Natalie Lefler as the 2025 recipient of the Edward & Viviene Huntoon Memorial Scholarship.
Natalie Lefler, daughter of Dave and Kim Lefler, graduated from Marlette High School as Salutatorian. During high school, she participated in band, FFA, National Honor Society, Student Council, and varsity soccer, earning many awards in these activities. She also attended the Biotechnology Program at the Sanilac Career Center and earned her Class-A CDL. Natalie is attending Northern Michigan University pursuing a degree in Elementary Education.
The Edward & Viviene Huntoon Memorial Scholarship was created in memory of Edward and Viviene Huntoon. Mr. Huntoon was a local businessman, and Mrs. Huntoon was active in the United Methodist Church. Together, they strongly valued education. Their family is proud to support Marlette students as they pursue a college education.
