The Sanilac County Community Foundation is pleased to announce Savannah Spiegel as the 2024 recipient of the Peck United Methodist Church Scholarship.
Savannah is the daughter of Joe and Tammy Spiegel and a graduate of Peck High School. During high school, Savannah was a member of the band- playing the clarinet for 6 years, and also participated in solo ensemble many times where she qualified for States. Savannah was nominated for Honors Band multiple times, was on the Quiz Bowl team for two years, and was the Secretary of the National Honor Society. She participated in volleyball and cheerleading, and attended Health Occupations at the Sanilac Career Center where she earned her CNA license. During high school, Savanna worked part time at both Auntie Em’s Daycare through the school and the Sanilac Medical Care Facility. She is attending St. Clair County Community College pursuing a career as a Nurse with plans to be either an ER or Traveling Nurse.
The Peck United Methodist Church scholarship was established to continue the Peck United Methodist Church’s commitment to community outreach. After 129 years of serving the community, the Peck United Methodist Church continues to make a difference through this scholarship, helping support students and families in the Peck community for years to come. This scholarship is awarded to graduating seniors of Peck High School who have demonstrated volunteerism and pride in serving the Peck community.
