The Sanilac County Community Foundation is pleased to announce this year’s 2021 Croswell-Lexington High School graduate, Hunter Soper as the recipient of the David Lockwood, Sr. Memorial Scholarship.
Hunter is the son of Steve and Monique Soper. Graduating in May with honors, he also was very active in basketball and baseball. Hunter will be attending Lake Superior State University and play basketball there as well. His major area of study is business management.
The David Lockwood, Sr. Memorial Scholarship was established in 2004 in memory of David by his wife, Gail, and sons, David Jr. and Steve. Eligible applicants must be graduating seniors of Cros-Lex High School, plan on pursuing education relative to building construction or woodworking, demonstrate an excellent work ethic and dedication, and have maintained at least a 2.0 GPA.
