The Sanilac County Community Foundation announces that Fayth Powell, graduate of Sandusky Jr/Sr High School, has been selected as the 2021 recipient of the Mark S. Hund Memorial Scholarship Fund.
During high school, Fayth was involved in National Honor Society, Drama Club, Quiz Bowl, Student Council, and Key Club. She is the daughter of Billie Powell. Fayth plans to attend Saginaw Valley State University.
The Mark S. Hund Memorial Scholarship was established in 1997 in memory of Mark, a long time principal of Sandusky High School. It is awarded annually to a Sandusky High School senior who has shown strength and determination. It is available for any form of career training or education.
