The Sanilac County Community Foundation is pleased to announce this year’s 2020 Sandusky High School graduate, Abigail Bolsby as the recipient of the David W. and Judith A. Albrecht Scholarship.
Abigail is the daughter of Brenda and Randy Bolsby. She plans to attend Saginaw Valley State University this fall, majoring in nursing and plans to become a nurse practitioner. During high school Abigail played varsity basketball for three years and was also in National Honor Society and helped in the key club.
Dave Albrecht, a 1966 graduate of SHS, was a successful businessman for over 30 years, a community volunteer, active in his church, very involved with his family, and a loyal Redskin fan. Judy was a long time teacher in Sandusky and still remains involved in the community. This scholarship was established in Dave’s memory to annually assist graduating seniors from SHS. Those selected exemplify the characteristics of leadership, community service and school spirit while planning to further their education.
