The Sanilac County Community Foundation is pleased to announce that the Kenneth Alexander Memorial Scholarship recipients are Emma Engler and Ann Demaray.

Emma Engler is a graduate of Peck High School.  She is the daughter of Luke and Sandra Engler.  Emma’s extracurricular activities include softball, basketball, and volleyball. She is active in 4-H and held officer positions in FFA, National Honor Society, and student council. Emma was an MHSAA scholar athlete finalist and has received league, district and county awards in all three sports.  She plans to attend Spring Arbor University this fall to major in health and exercise science.

 

 

Ann Demaray is a graduate of Peck High School. She is the daughter of Jan and Tim Demaray. Ann is attending St. Clair County Community College this fall to complete a partnership program with Ferris State University for a degree in Criminal Justice. During high school, she participated in volleyball and softball as well as National Honor Society, YAC (Youth Advisory Council), academic games, and dual enrollment.

 

 

The Kenneth Alexander Memorial Scholarship was established through Mr. Alexander’s estate and is available to an eligible senior on the Peck High School girls’ softball team to be used to help defray the expenses of college or other post high school education.
