The Sanilac County Community Foundation is pleased to announce that Mackenzie Falls, graduate from Carsonville-Port Sanilac School, is one of the 2019 recipients of the Esther M. Cuppen Scholarship recipients.
Mackenzie is the daughter of Christopher and Nicole Falls of Port Sanilac. She is the Vice President of her class and is a four year member of the Youth Advisory Council (YAC). Mackenzie has been involved in Cardboard City, Project Connect, helping to create a homeless shelter, and food drives. She is also a two year member of the National Honor Society helping to organize food drives, coat drives and other volunteer work. She has been active in numerous athletic activities including Varsity volleyball and Varsity softball, serving as team captain. Mackenzie was named Academic All-State for softball. She has also been a member of the Theatre 13 program at her school and is an International Thespian Society member. Mackenzie plans to attend Saginaw Valley State University to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
Eligible applicants for the annual scholarship must be graduating seniors of Croswell-Lexington High School and/or Carsonville-Port Sanilac High School who are in need of financial assistance to attend college in the field of education or related field.
