The Sanilac County Community Foundation is pleased to announce that Haley Nelson is one of the Eastern Michigan Bank Scholarship Recipients for 2018.
Haley is the daughter of Brian and Debbie Nelson of Sandusky. She plans to attend Saginaw Valley State University to major in accounting and play basketball. Haley was Captain of the Varsity Basketball, Softball, and Volleyball teams. She was the National Honor Society Secretary; Student Council President; and Key Club Vice President. Haley volunteered with the Highway Clean Up, Vietnam Moving Wall Project, Walk for Warmth, Red Cross Blood Drives, Flags of Remembrance Project, Kiwanis Dinner, Sandusky Youth Athletic Association, Food 4 Friends, Diamond Trail Fitness Equipment Project, Stop the Bull Campaign, and Read with a Hero. This scholarship is provided by Eastern Michigan Bank in support of our County’s graduates. This scholarship is awarded to an eligible student pursuing a Finance, Accounting, or a degree in a related field.
