The Sanilac County Community Foundation is pleased to announce the 2021 recipient of the Croswell Lions Club Scholarship is Meredith Francis.
Meredith is a graduate of Cros-Lex High School and will be majoring in Psychology while attending Oakland University. Cheryl Hurley and Michael Francis, are very proud of her achievements. In high school, Meredith was very active in band and held a leadership position for two years. She was also in Students Against Destructive Decisions (S.A.D.D.) and National Honor Society. Meredith also completed the CL5 program and was a senior scholar.
This scholarship is possible because of the Croswell Lions Club. The Croswell Lions are a part of an international network of 1.4 million men and women dedicated to making a difference locally and globally. Lions meet the needs of our communities and the world, ranging from assisting the visually impaired and working with local youth to medical missions and disaster relief. Since 1917, Lions have met the needs in their communities and continued to improve the areas in which they live. The Croswell Lions Fund was established in 2019 to directly support the Croswell Lions Club, their mission, vision, and community projects within Sanilac County.
