Sanilac County Community Foundation is pleased to announce, Kobie Down is the recipient of the 2020 Aaron Brown Memorial Scholarship.

Kobie is the son of Roger and Jammie Sampier and Michael and Bobbi Down. He grew up loving animals when he was young and also like practicing archery in his spare time. Kobie went to Carsonville-Port Sanilac Schools his entire school career. During high school he was in the National Honor Society and Student Council. He decided to look into jobs in the medical field because he had health issues which caused him to go to the doctors often when he was younger. Last summer Kobie went to Delta Health and Wellness Camp, while there he tried many health fields including respiratory therapy, which he enjoyed and is now planning to pursue a career in.  This fall he plans to attend St. Clair County Community College to study respiratory therapy.

The Aaron Brown Memorial Scholarship Fund was established in 2006 by Jim and Linda Brown in memory of their son, Aaron. The scholarship is awarded annually.

This scholarship is administered through the Sanilac County Community Foundation (SCCF).  For more information on scholarship opportunities through the SCCF, contact Melissa Anderson, Executive Director, at the Foundation office at 810-648-3634.

For Good. For Ever.
