Scholarship Funds help local students meet their academic and vocational goals in the name of the donors who established the funds. Dozens of local people review scholarship applications to match the donor’s intent with the current class of students, providing financial support to help them continue their education or training after high school. The scholarship awards vary in amounts and focus and are available to students with a variety of experiences and future plans. In every case, the Community Foundation aims to help our Sanilac County students succeed.
Thanks to our generous donors, we are pleased to offer more than 100 scholarships every year to graduating high school students, with a few available to those continuing in post-secondary programs. Investing in education is a long-standing value of the Community Foundation, and we continue to explore its potential in many ways.
The scholarships range from $200 to $20,000 and are available to students from a variety of backgrounds with varied interests. Several scholarships are also available for Sanilac County residents continuing their education or wanting to return “home” to utilize the skills and degrees they have obtained.
