Your gift to the Sanilac County Community Foundation (SCCF) can establish a fund to benefit what you care about most. There are many ways that we can work with you to establish a fund. Donor(s) establish the Endowment and may name a general or specific grant making purpose; donor(s) may make grant award recommendations to the SCCF Board.
Named Funds
Donor(s) may name the endowment and choose whether to designate a purpose or leave it undesignated to address changing community needs. Donor(s) do not play an advisory role in grant making; the Sanilac County Community Foundation Board oversee grant disbursements.
Undesignated Funds
Donor(s) may name the endowment; the SCCF Board will oversee grant disbursements to address changing community needs.
Field of Interest Endowment
Donor(s) establish the Endowment and may name the field of interest for grant making purposes (i.e. environment, education, health and human services, youth programs and services, etc.); grant award recommendations are made to the SCCF Board by a fund advisory committee and after a competitive grant making process.
Scholarship Endowment
Donor(s) establish the Scholarship and may name criteria and requirements; scholarship awards are made during the Sanilac County Community Foundation scholarship competitive process.
Designated Agency Endowment
Individual donors and/or an agency may establish the Endowment and name the agency to benefit from annual grant awards.
Community Foundation Organization Support Funds
Donor(s) may name the endowment that is designated to support organizational needs of the Sanilac County Community Foundation.
