The Sanilac County Community Foundation is pleased to announce that $15,400 in combined grants were given to the following entities.
Hunter Hospitality House, Croswell Food Truck, Sandusky Community Schools, Sanilac Career Center Baja Team, Marlette VFW Post 4837, Sandusky High School Drama Club, Peck Community Schools, Stone Soup Food Bank, Sandusky Community Schools Robotics Team
At the Sanilac County Community Foundation (SCCF) meeting held in December, recipients of the fall, 2016 grant round were on hand to receive their grant funds and to describe their funded projects.
Hunter Hospitality House received a grant, funded by SCCF Board Discretionary Fund to be used toward free lodging @ 2 locations in Pt. Huron for Sanilac County residents while loved ones are in the hospital.
Croswell Food Truck received a grant, funded by the Michigan Health Grant to be used to purchase food for the food truck.
Sandusky Community Schools, received a grant, funded by the YAC (Youth Advisory Council) to be used toward a devise bolted to the bottom of the classroom doors.
Sanilac Career Center Baja Team received a grant, funded by the YAC (Youth Advisory Council) to be used toward safety gear.
Marlette VFW Post 4837 received a grant, funded by the YAC (Youth Advisory Council) to be used toward the purchase & installation of Elkay water bottle hydration stations @ Marlette Schools.
Sandusky High School Drama Club received a grant, funded by the SCCF Board Discretionary Fund and the YAC (Youth Advisory Council) to be used to purchase a follow spot light for their stage.
Peck Community Schools received a grant, funded by the YAC (Youth Advisory Council) to be used toward “adopt a door” – “boot”, a devise bolted to bottom of doors.
Stone Soup Food Bank received a grant, funded by the Michigan Health Grant to be used toward replacing the lift gate for their truck.
Sandusky Community Schools Robotic Team received a grant, funded by the SCCF Board Discretionary Fund and the YAC (Youth Advisory Council) to be used toward the Robotics Team.
