The Sanilac County Community Foundation is pleased to announce that $10,650 in combined grants were given to the following entities.

SCCAPC/Safe Kids Greater Thumb & Saginaw Coalition, McKenzie Health System, Sanilac County Families Against Narcotics, Sanilac County Health Department, Delta Kappa Gamma Int. Beta Tau (Sanilac County Chapter), Frostick Elementary, and Meyer Elementary.

At the Sanilac County Community Foundation (SCCF) meeting held in June, recipients of the spring, 2019 grant round were on hand to receive their grant funds and to describe their funded projects.

SCCAPC/Safe Kids Greater Thumb & Saginaw Coalition, received a $2,000 grant, budgeted from the SCCF Board Discretionary Fund to be used toward replacement car seats

McKenzie Health System received a $1,500 grant from the Board Discretionary Fund for clinics in Croswell, Peck, and Sandusky as a part of their Reach Out & Read program.

 

 

Sanilac County Families Against Narcotics received a $1,000 grant from YAC (Youth Advisory Council). They will be using it to fund their FREE Sober Family Friends Event.

 

 

 

The Sanilac County Health Department was given a $2,500 combined grant from the Board Discretionary Fund and the Healthy Youth & Seniors Fund. This combined grant will go towards the purchasing of a Welch Allyn “Spot” Vision Screener.

 

 

 

Delta Kappa Gamma Int. Beta Tau (Sanilac County Chapter) was granted $1,250 from YAC (Youth Advisory Council). The grant will go towards their Read To Me Project which gives kids gift bags and books.

 

 

 

Frostick Elementary was given a combined grant of $1,600 from the Board Discretionary Fund, YAC (Youth Advisory Council), and the Backpack Fund. Frostick will be using the grant to fund their backpack Weekend Food Program.

 

 

 

Meyer Elementary also received a combined grant for their Backpack Weekend Food Program. Meyer received a combined grant of $800, coming from the Board Discretionary Fund, YAC (Youth Advisory Council), and the Backpack Fund.
