The Sanilac County Community Foundation is pleased to announce Owen Schemanske and Lauren Eager as 2025 recipients of the Frank L. and Violet Hannan Scholarship.
Owen Schemaske, son of Jessica Royle and James Schemanske, is a 2024 graduate of Peck High School. During high school, he participated in Quiz Bowl, powerlifting, and was a member of National Honor Society. Owen is attending Michigan Technological University pursuing a career in Biomedical Engineering.
Lauren Eager, daughter of Jeff and Corinne Eager, is a 2024 graduate of Peck High School where she was her class Valedictorian. During high school, she participated in cross country, serving as captain in her senior year, track and field, hockey, and softball where she served as co-captain. Lauren is attending Northern Michigan University majoring in Criminal Justice and is also playing on the women’s hockey team.
The Frank L. and Violet Hannan Scholarship was established through a gift from the estate of Frank L. and Violet Hannan who were farmers in the community. It is awarded to Peck students who attended Peck High school for both their Junior and Senior years. Students entering their second year of college are also eligible.
