The Sanilac County Community Foundation is pleased to announce Peck High School graduates Kendra Kosal, Ava Collins, Ryleigh Ureel and Madisyn Taylor as the 2025 recipients of the Kenneth Alexander Memorial Scholarship.

Kendra Kosal is the daughter of Jeff and Erica Kosal. During high school, she maintained a 3.83 GPA while serving as National Honor Society President, Class President, Youth Advisory Council Secretary, and Student Council Social Media Manager. She also participated in volleyball, basketball, and softball, and was named captain of the varsity volleyball team. During the winter season, she competed with the Huron County Mavericks AAU volleyball team. In addition, Kendra attended the Sanilac County Career Center, where she completed the Graphic Communications program and was recognized with the Outstanding Student and Community Service awards for her hard work and dedication. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, drawing, and photography. Kendra is attending St. Clair County Community College pursuing an associate degree in science while continuing her volleyball career. She intends to work toward a future career as a physical therapist or athletic trainer.

Ava Collins is the daughter of Aaron and Stephanie Collins. During high school, she played softball, volleyball and basketball. She served as treasurer for both the National Honor Society and her class and was also a member of Student Council. Ava is attending St. Clair County Community College studying General Education.

Ryleigh Ureel, daughter of Ron and Heidi Ureel, graduated as Valedictorian of the class of 2025. During high school, Ryleigh participated in volleyball, basketball, track and field, and softball – holding the position of captain of while earning all-state honors. She was also a member of the National Honor Society and Student Council. Ryleigh is attending St. Clair County Community College, where she will earn her associate’s degree while continuing to play softball.

Madisyn Taylor is the daughter of Melissa Murray and Andrew Taylor. During high school, she was involved in Student Council, National Honor Society and participated in softball, volleyball, track, basketball, and trap shooting. She was also a part of the Baja Team at the Sanilac Career Center. Madisyn is attending St. Clair County Community College pursuing a degree in Welding and Fabrication.

The Kenneth Alexander Memorial Scholarship was established through a gift from Mr. Alexander’s estate and is awarded to a graduating senior on the Peck High School girls softball team.
