The Sanilac County Community Foundation (SCCF) is proud to announce that it has awarded more than $225,000 in scholarships to outstanding local students through its 2025 scholarship program. These awards highlight both the generosity of community donors and the dedication of students pursuing their educational and career aspirations.
This year’s recipients represent high schools and colleges across Sanilac County and beyond. Scholarships support a wide range of future paths, including trade programs, community colleges, and four-year universities. The Community Foundation is still finalizing a few additional awards from over the summer, which will add to the overall total granted in 2025.
“We are honored to invest in the future of our community by supporting these exceptional students,” said Joshua Robinson, Executive Director of the Sanilac County Community Foundation. “Each scholarship is made possible by the generosity of our donors and reflects the belief that education has the power to transform lives and strengthen Sanilac County for generations to come.”
The Community Foundation extends a massive thank you to every donor—large or small—as well as to local school districts for helping make this program possible. Together, they have created opportunities that ensure access to education for students across our county.
Community members are encouraged to be on the lookout for individual press releases highlighting scholarship recipients in local media, on the Community Foundation’s Facebook page, and on its website.
At the heart of the Community Foundation’s mission is endowment growth—ensuring that scholarships are not only available today but also in perpetuity, regardless of current donations. Each new contribution builds the scholarship endowment pool, guaranteeing that Sanilac County students will have access to support for generations to come. This level of forward-thinking philanthropy from our donors deserves to be celebrated today and honored for decades into the future.
Since its founding, the Community Foundation has awarded over a million dollars in scholarships, helping thousands of students achieve their academic goals. The program continues to expand each year thanks to the partnership of donors, alumni, families, and schools who believe in the power of education.
