The Sanilac County Community Foundation is pleased to announce Savannah Spiegel as one of the 2024 recipients of the John Wilder Memorial Scholarship.
Savannah is the daughter of Joe and Tammy Spiegel and a graduate of Peck High School. During High School, Savannah was a member of the band- playing the clarinet for 6 years, and also participated in solo ensemble many times where she qualified for States. Savannah was nominated for Honors Band multiple times, was on the Quiz Bowl team for two years, and was the Secretary of the National Honors Society. She participated in volleyball and cheerleading, and attended Health Occupations at the Sanilac Career Center where she earned her CAN license. During high school, Savanna worked part time at both Auntie Em’s Daycare through school and the Sanilac Medical Care Facility. She is attending St. Clair County Community College pursuing a career as a Nurse with plans to be either an ER or Traveling Nurse.
The John Wilder Memorial Scholarship was established in memory of John by his family. It is awarded to graduating seniors of Peck High School and Yale High Schools who participated in sports.
