The Sanilac County Community Foundation is pleased to announce this year’s 2023 Croswell-Lexington High School graduate, Donald Pomaville as the recipient of the Richard M. Coffelt Memorial Scholarship.
Donald plans to attend Northern Michigan University to pursue a degree in Geographic Information Systems and Technology. During high school, he was a part of the band as section leader for the low brass, did quiz bowl, where their team won third in the region, and was a senior scholar for his high grades and SAT score. Donald’s parents are Joseph and Lauren Pomaville.
The Richard M. Coffelt Memorial Scholarship was established in honor of Richard M. Coffelt, Band Director and teacher in the Van Buren Public School system from 1948 to 1972. The scholarship is intended to promote music education and encourage students to participate in a career and/or in music. Money is awarded at least annually for the education needs of Sanilac County graduating senior.
