The Sanilac County Community Foundation is pleased to announce that Toryn Sontag, graduate of Cros-Lex High School is the 2021 recipient of the Hewitt-Riley Scholarship.
Toryn is the daughter of Timothy Sontag and Donna Sontag. During high school, Toryn was always an outgoing individual who loved to participate in school events. She was always helping with concession stands, attending sporting events, going on school trips, and joining school clubs. Toryn will be attending St. Clair County Community College.
This scholarship was established in honor of Thomas Hewitt, a Croswell-Lexington High School Graduate, by his mother Mary Riley. The scholarship is made available to a Croswell-Lexington student with a C+ – B average who is planning to attend college. Special consideration will be given to those entering the field of agricultural studies.
