The Sanilac County Community Foundation is pleased to announce this year’s 2021 Sandusky High School graduate, Alyssa Tank as the recipient of the David W. and Judith A. Albrecht Scholarship.
Alyssa is the daughter of Christopher Tank and Kelly Tank. She plans to attend Central Michigan University where she will be playing hockey. While in high school, Alyssa participated in Key Club, National Honor Society, Youth Advisory Council, Student Council, SAT Ambassadors, and College Ambassador. She also played Volleyball, Softball, Hockey, and Track & Field.
Dave Albrecht, a 1966 graduate of SHS, was a successful businessman for over 30 years, a community volunteer, active in his church, very involved with his family, and a loyal Redskin fan. Judy was a long time teacher in Sandusky and still remains involved in the community. This scholarship was established in Dave’s memory to annually assist graduating seniors from SHS. Those selected exemplify the characteristics of leadership, community service and school spirit while planning to further their education.
