The Sanilac County Community Foundation is pleased to announce, Alexis Knofski, Madeleine Crowe and Matthew Curtis are three of the recipients of the 2020 Edward Ralph & Ina Kinsley Scholarship.

 

Alexis Knofski a 2020 graduate of Croswell – Lexington High School, is the daughter of Brian and Brook Knofski of Croswell. She was involved in national honor society and girl’s tennis during high school. Alexis plans to attend Grand Valley State University for cardiovascular sonography.

 

 

 

Madeleine Crowe a 2020 graduate of Croswell – Lexington High School, is the daughter of Mark (Leanne) and Deborah Crowe. During high school, she spent a lot of time working. She has helped her stepmom with their daycare and she has also had a variety of different jobs from restaurants to cleaning offices. Madeleine plans to attend Northern Michigan University for Speech and Hearing Sciences, with hopes to work with kids who struggle with speech and hearing impairments.

 

 

Matthew Curtis a 2020 graduate of Croswell – Lexington High School, is the son of Mary and Thomas Curtis of Lexington. Throughout high school, he was very involved in marching and symphonic band. He was a clarinet section leader for three years and first-chair clarinetist for two, of which he wishes to continue playing his clarinet in college. Matthew has been jumpstarting his career as a programmer by developing computer software for his local community, as well as working in the Tech Department of Cros-Lex Schools as an Information-Technology Assistant. Matthew will be studying Computer Science at Oakland University, where he intends to earn a bachelor’s degree as an Honors College student.

The Edward Ralph & Ina Kinsley Scholarship fund was generously given as a gift from the Kinsley estate. The scholarship fund is designated to benefit the graduating students at Croswell-Lexington High school.
