The Sanilac County Community Foundation is pleased to announce that Trenton Livingtston, graduate from Croswell-Lexington High School, is the recipient of the Isaac “Ike” Selick Law Enforcement Scholarship for 2020.
Trenton is the son of Matthew and Jessi Livingston of Croswell. He is planning to attend St. Clair County Community College this fall on a scholarship for cross country, indoor track, and track. He will also be taking part in the Ferris State 4 year satellite program for criminal justice. During high school he was a part of the cross country, indoor track, and track team.
The Isaac “Ike” Selick Law Enforcement Scholarship was established in 2000 in Ike’s memory by his family to give students who are pursuing a career in law enforcement the chance to achieve their dreams. Ike Selick retired as a Detective Sergeant with the Detroit Police Department and would be pleased to know that, in his memory, each year a high school graduate receives this scholarship to pursue a career in law enforcement.
The recipient of the scholarship is chosen by the superintendent, principal and girls’ softball coach of Peck High School and is awarded on the basis of athletic and academic achievement, and financial need.
This scholarship is administered through the Sanilac County Community Foundation. For more information on scholarship opportunities through the Sanilac County Community Foundation, contact Melissa Anderson, Executive Director, at the Foundation office at 810-648-3634.
