The Sanilac County Community Foundation is pleased to announce the recipient of the Mike Stevens Scholarship is Mickenzie Atkins.
Mickenzie Atkins is the daughter of William and Julie Atkins. She is a 2020 senior scholar and graduate of Croswell-Lexington High School. While in attendance at Cros-Lex High School, she was a member of the National Honor Society, Student Council, Yearbook, and Making Visions a Reality. Mickenzie plans to continue this involvement into her post-secondary education, which she plans to complete at Grand Valley State University.
The Mike Stevens Scholarship was established in 2005, in Mike’s memory, by his family and coworkers at the Sanilac County Department of Human Services. It is available to area high school graduating students who have maintained a 2.0 GPA and have been accepted for admission to an accredited college or university. Eligible students must have demonstrated the desire and determination to meet and overcome personal/family challenges or obstacles in achieving his/her educational goals.
