The Sanilac County Community Foundation is pleased to announce that Lauren Eager, graduate of Peck High School, has been named the 2024 recipient of the R.E.D. Memorial Scholarship.

Lauren is the daughter of Jeff and Corinne Eager. She is attending Northern Michigan University and majoring in Criminal Justice and will be playing on the women’s hockey team there as well. Lauren graduated from Peck High School with a 4.0 grade point average and was the class of 2024 Valedictorian. She was also a member of the National Honor Society for two years. Throughout her high school career, Lauren was a dedicated athlete. Her senior year she was the captain for the cross country, track and field, and hockey teams, and was a co-captain for the softball team.

The R.E.D. Memorial Scholarship was established in 2019 in memory of three individuals who all attended Peck and have since passed away (Ryan Martus, Ellen Foley, and Debbie Krantz). All three of these individuals were very active in athletics and school activities.

This scholarship is administered through the Sanilac County Community Foundation.  For more information on scholarship opportunities through the Sanilac County Community Foundation, contact Joshua Robinson, Executive Director, at the Foundation office at 810-648-3634.
