The Sanilac County Community Foundation is pleased to announce this year’s 2023 Croswell-Lexington High School graduate, Alicia Coronado as the recipient of the Esther M. Cuppen Scholarship.
Short Biography: “My name is Alicia Coronado and I graduated from Croswell Lexington High School. My parents are Julio and Sara Coronado, and I am the oldest of three siblings. I have played the flute since the sixth grade and have been an active member of the Croslex bands. Music is a big part of my life. I enjoy giving music lessons and learning new instruments. I served my last two years in high school as Drum Major, which is a band leadership position. I am also a member of the Croswell Lexington Community Band where I will continue to play music. I am a member of the National Honor Society, have taken several AP courses, have completed the CL5 early college program, and am graduating with my high school diploma and an Associate’s Degree in Arts. I plan to attend Saginaw Valley State University where I will pursue a Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Music and Spanish Education.”
Eligible applicants for the annual scholarship must be graduating seniors of Croswell-Lexington High School and/or Carsonville-Port Sanilac High School who are in need of financial assistance to attend college in the field of education or related field.
