The Sanilac County Community Foundation is pleased to announce that Riley Ford is this year’s recipient of the Cheryl Thomas Memorial Scholarship.
Riley is the daughter of Jeff and Amy Ford. She will be attending Dalton State College in Dalton, GA to study nursing and eventually obtain her BSN. Riley will also be competing cross country and track for the college. During high school, she was involved in National Honor Society, academic games, student council, cross country, basketball, and track.
The Cheryl Thomas Memorial Scholarship Fund was established in her memory in 2004 by her family. Cheryl had been a long-time coach in the Marlette Schools.
Eligible applicants for the annual scholarship must be graduating seniors of Marlette High School that have participated in sports.
