The Sanilac County Community Foundation is pleased to announce this year’s 2019 Sandusky High School graduate, Madison Greer as the recipient of the David W. and Judith A. Albrecht Scholarship.
Madison is the daughter of Matthew and Melanie Greer, raised by her dad Matthew and step mother Jennifer Greer. She plans to attend St. Clair County Community College this fall, then transfer to a university after two years. Through High School, Madison participated in many different groups and organizations; National Honor Society, Key Club, Sideline and Competitive Cheerleading, Track, and Academic Games are just a few. Madison is proud to have graduated from Sandusky High School, and believes she wouldn’t be where she is today without the endless support of all her teachers, advisors, and relatives.
Dave Albrecht, a 1966 graduate of SHS, was a successful businessman for over 30 years, a community volunteer, active in his church, very involved with his family, and a loyal Redskin fan. Judy was a long time teacher in Sandusky and still remains involved in the community. This scholarship was established in Dave’s memory to annually assist graduating seniors from SHS. Those selected exemplify the characteristics of leadership, community service and school spirit while planning to further their education.
This scholarship is administered through the Sanilac County Community Foundation. For more information on scholarship opportunities through the SCCF, contact the Foundation office at 810-648-3634.
