JOHN WILDER MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
The Sanilac County Community Foundation announces that Nicholas Grifka is this year’s recipient of the John Wilder Memorial Scholarship.
Nicholas is the son of Brian and Wanda Grifka. He was a member of the Basketball team and captain his varsity year. Nicholas also ran track and was a member of the National Honor Society, a lunch buddy mentor, and an 8 year member of the Peck Band. He is a member and officer of the Sanilac FFA, member of the National Dairy Judging Team, which took 7th place at Nationals. Nicholas volunteers with the Peck Lions Club. He is currently the President of the Flynn Hustlers 4-H Club. This fall Nicholas plans to attend Michigan State University to pursue a degree in Dairy Management.
The John Wilder Memorial Scholarship was established by John’s family in his memory in 2010. It is available to eligible graduating student athletes in Peck High School.
