This fund was established in memory of Mary Hart Robb, who was Croswell’s first teacher, and John Stuart Robb, who built the first schoolhouse. Mary came with her family from England, and John from Scotland in the mid-1850s. They were married in 1857. The scholarships are awarded annually to Croswell-Lexington High School seniors who have been accepted in a four-year college program,
and who have shown potential for success in life. Preference is given to those planning to study science or teaching.
