The Sanilac County Community Foundation is pleased to announce Ava Parrott as the 2026 recipient of the Barbara Wolfe Magenheim Scholarship.
Ava Parrott, daughter of Annise and Kevin Parrot, graduated from Carsonville-Port Sanilac High School with a 4.0 GPA. During high school, she served as Vice President of the National Honor Society, was involved in YAC (Youth Advisory Council), and was on the softball team. Ava is attending Saginaw Valley State University in their nursing program.
The Barbara Wolfe Magenheim Scholarship was established to commemorate the accomplishments of Dr. Barbara Wolfe Magenheim and her love of education and the field of nursing. This scholarship is awarded to Sanilac County graduating seniors who have a 3.0 GPA or greater and are pursuing a career in healthcare. Preference is given to graduating seniors of Carsonville-Port Sanilac High School.
