The Sanilac County Community Foundation is pleased to announce Ryleigh Ureel as the 2025 recipient of the R.E.D. Memorial Scholarship.

Ryleigh Ureel, daughter of Ron and Heidi Ureel, graduated as Valedictorian of the Peck High School Class of 2025. During high school, Ryleigh participated in volleyball, basketball, track and field, and softball—holding the position of captain while earning all-state honors. She was also a member of the National Honor Society and Student Council. Ryleigh is attending St. Clair County Community College, pursuing an associate’s degree while continuing to play softball.

The R.E.D. Memorial Scholarship was established in 2019 in memory of Ryan Martus, Ellen Foley, and Debbie Krantz—Peck alumni who were deeply involved in athletics and school activities. It is available to Peck High School graduating seniors who participated in athletics.

This scholarship is administered through the Sanilac County Community Foundation (SCCF). For more information on scholarship opportunities, visit www.SanilacFoundation.org or contact the Community Foundation office at 810-648-3634.
