The Sanilac County Community Foundation is pleased to announce Devon Chisholm as the 2025 recipient of the Kayla (Gordon) Kelly Scholarship.
Devon Chisholm, son of Greg and Annette Chisholm, graduated from Croswell-Lexington High School. During high school, he participated in cross country, track and field, powerlifting, and tennis. After experiencing the benefits of physical therapy during his own recovery, he was inspired to help others in the same way. Devon is attending Grand Valley State University, pursuing a degree in physical therapy. He is grateful to his parents for their constant support and encouragement in his journey to helping others.
The Kayla (Gordon) Kelly scholarship is in memory of Kayla (Gordon) Kelly, who was a graduate of Croswell-Lexington High School. She is remembered as being a great student, playing sports, being a member of the yearbook committee, and participating in drama productions. After high school, she went on to graduate from Ferris State University and worked for the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services in the Grand Rapids area. Kayla passed away on February 14, 2021. The family would like to remember Kayla by helping students through this scholarship.
