The Sanilac County Community Foundation is pleased to announce Madisyn Taylor and Landon Sopha as the 2025 recipients of the John Wilder Memorial Scholarship.

Madisyn Taylor, daughter of Melissa Murray and Andrew Taylor, is a graduate of Peck High School. During high school, she was involved in Student Council, National Honor Society and participated in softball, volleyball, track, basketball, and trap shooting. She was also a part of the Baja Team at the Sanilac Career Center. Madisyn is attending St. Clair County Community College pursuing a degree in Welding and Fabrication.

Landon Sopha, son of Adam and Cathy Sopha, graduated from Yale High School. During High school, he participated in wrestling and football and was also a member of the National Honor Society. Landon is attending Saginaw Valley State University pursuing a degree in Teaching.

The John Wilder Memorial Scholarship was established in memory of John by his family. It is awarded to graduating seniors of Peck High School and Yale High School who participated in sports.
