The Sanilac County Community Foundation is pleased to announce that Thomas Geiger, Ayden McComb, Chase Tesluck, and Tyler Franzel are the Thumb Bank & Trust Scholarship Recipients for 2024.
Thomas is the son of Chad and Lori Geiger of Brown City. Throughout high school, he took college classes, having made the president’s list twice, and worked to obtain his Michigan Transfer Agreement (MTA). Thomas also attended the Brown City Honors Banquet all six years and was a member of the 2024 GTC All-Conference Academic Team. He played on the varsity basketball and baseball teams, helping win a league title in basketball and district titles in both basketball and baseball. He was also an All-Academic Scholar-Athlete. In addition, Thomas was a part of the school’s National Honors Society, and class secretary his junior and senior year. Thomas is attending Oakland University to major in Electrical Engineering.
Ayden is attending Grand Valley State University to study Business Management. While she attended Croswell-Lexington High School, she was active in Student Council, National Honor Society, SADD Club, Youth Advisory Council, and Varsity Soccer. Ayden is very grateful for her mom, Jennifer McComb, attributing much of her success to her mother.
Chase is the son of Stephanie and the late Jason Tesluck. He is a graduate of Peck High school (class of 2024), while in high school he played baseball all 4 years and received numerous honors, was a part of the Sanilac County YAC, and has always been on the honor roll. Chase is attending Northwood University, studying aftermarket automotive management and plans on pursuing a masters degree in business administration.
Tyler is attending Central Michigan University to pursue a degree in Finance. He was involved in football, basketball, baseball, and NHS during high school. Tyler’s parents are Timothy and Mande Franzel.
This scholarship is provided by Thumb Bank & Trust in support of our County’s graduates. This scholarship is awarded to an eligible student pursuing Finance, Accounting, or a degree in a related field.
