The Sanilac County Community Foundation is pleased to announce the recipient of the 2023 Mike Stevens Scholarship is Emma Six.
Emma’s parents are Amber and Danny Six. In high school she was a cheerleader and loved every minute of it, they won their first state title. Emma also finished out the year on the honor roll. She is attending St. Clair County Community College’s nursing program.
The Mike Stevens Scholarship was established in 2005, in Mike’s memory, by his family and coworkers at the Sanilac County Department of Human Services. It is available to area high school graduating students who have maintained a 2.0 GPA and have been accepted for admission to an accredited college or university. Eligible students must have demonstrated the desire and determination to meet and overcome personal/family challenges or obstacles in achieving his/her educational goals.
