The Sanilac County Community Foundation is pleased to announce that Jonah Trigger, graduate of Croswell-Lexington High School, has been named one of the 2023 recipients of the Kayla (Gordon) Kelly Scholarship.

Jonah plans to attend Saginaw Valley State University, majoring in Occupational Therapy. His goals are obtaining his doctorate degree and aiding his community. In high school, he was a part of many clubs including S.A.D.D., Conservation Club, and National Honor Society. In S.A.D.D. he took on a leadership position as the club treasurer. Jonah is the son of Joyce Trigger.

This scholarship is in memory of Kayla (Gordon) Kelly. Kayla was a graduate of Croswell-Lexington High School. “She was a great student, she played sports, was on the yearbook committee, and participated in drama productions.”
She then went on to graduate from Ferris State University and worked for the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services in the Grand Rapids area. Kayla passed away on February 14, 2021. We would like to remember Kayla as helping students through this scholarship.

This scholarship is administered through the Sanilac County Community Foundation. For more information on scholarship opportunities through the Sanilac County Community Foundation, contact Joshua Robinson, Executive Director, at the Foundation office at 810-648-3634.
