The Sanilac County Community Foundation is pleased to announce that Liliana Grigg, graduate of Carsonville-Port Sanilac High School is one of the 2021 recipients of the Edward and Amelia Falls Scholarship.
Liliana is the daughter of Paul and Jessica Grigg. During high school, she was on the volleyball, basketball, track and softball teams. As well as, the science academic team, Sanilac Youth Advisory Council (YAC), Secretary of the National Honor Society (NHS) and Vice President of her class. Liliana graduated with a 4.0 GPA. She plans to attend St. Clair County Community College to pursue a degree in Science.
The Edward & Amelia Falls Scholarship was established by Philomena Falls, a prominent Lexington resident since 1971 who passed away in 2008 at the age of 99. She was a strong supporter of public education, having spent more than forty one years in elementary education in the United States, Germany and Japan. After her retirement, she demonstrated her commitment to the education of Sanilac County residents through her leadership on the Moore Public Library Board in Lexington from 1972 until 1999.
Eligible applicants for the annual scholarship must be graduating seniors Carsonville-Port Sanilac High School.
