The Sanilac County Community Foundation is pleased to announce that Samantha Bissett, graduate of Peck High School, has been named the 2020 recipient of the R.E.D. Memorial Scholarship.

Samantha is the daughter of Timothy and Cherie Bissett. Currently she is attending Delta Community College in the process of completing her basics and eventually plans to transfer to Saginaw Valley State University to get her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. In high school, Samantha was a part of the National Honor Society, Health Occupations, and was a class officer. She also was a part of varsity basketball, volleyball, and track programs.

The R.E.D. Memorial Scholarship was established in 2019 in memory of three individuals who all attended Peck and have since passed away (Ryan Martus, Ellen Foley, and Debbie Krantz). All three of these individuals were very active in athletics and school activities.

This scholarship is administered through the Sanilac County Community Foundation.  For more information on scholarship opportunities through the Sanilac County Community Foundation, contact Melissa Anderson, Executive Director, at the Foundation office at 810-648-3634.
