The Sanilac County Community Foundation is pleased to announce that Brianna Crane, graduate of Marlette Jr/Sr High School is one of the 2020 recipients of the Marlette Art Scholarship.
Brianna is the daughter of Nathan and Andrea Crane. She is originally from Arizona, moving to Marlette area the summer before her sophomore year. Although the transition was very hard, upon coming to Marlette High School, Brianna became pretty involved in extracurricular activities, such as Varsity Volleyball, Varsity Basketball, Varsity Track, student council, BPA (Business Professionals of America), and HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America). Brianna was also voted the winter homecoming queen her senior year. She is extremely thankful for the years she was able to spend at Marlette High School and all the memories that came with it. She is attending Cedarville University in Cedarville, Ohio.
This scholarship was established to recognize the artistic talents of students at Marlette High School. To apply for this scholarship, students must upload a photo of a self-made work of art along with a personal essay answering the question, “What is Art?”.
