Sanilac County Community Foundation is pleased to announce that this year’s recipient of the Joshua Ross Memorial Scholarship is Jacob Martus.
Jacob, Valedictorian, graduated from Brown City High School. During high school he has taken four advanced placement courses, and acompleted five dual-enrollment courses through St. Clair County Community College. He played varsity football for three years, wrestled for four years, and ran track for four years. Jacob plans to attend the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Jacob is the son of Jim and Kara Martus.
The Joshua Ross Memorial Scholarship was started in December of 1998 in memory of Joshua Ross, a Brown City High School senior. He was active and involved in his community. This scholarship is given annually to a student that reflects the character and interests of Josh. It is administered through the Sanilac County Community Foundation.
