The Sanilac County Community Foundation is pleased to announce that the first ever recipients of the Marlette Art Scholarship are Hannah Byers and Isaac Dale.
Hannah is the daughter of Mary Beth Byers and Thomas Byers. She is a 2017 graduate of Marlette High School. During high school, Hannah participated in varsity soccer, Business Professionals of America, National Honor Society, YAC (Youth Advisory Council), Student Council, Class Secretary, and Art Club. Hannah plans to attend Michigan Technological University this fall.
This scholarship was established to recognize the artistic talents of students at Marlette High School. To apply for this scholarship, students must upload a photo of a self-made work of art along with a personal essay answering the question, “What is Art?”.
