The Sanilac County Community Foundation is pleased to announce that Crystal Tovar is this year’s recipient of the Shelby Sanderson Combs Scholarship.
Crystal graduated from Sandusky Jr./Sr. High School as one of the three valedictorians. In high school she participated in cross country, track and field, drama, the academic games’ mathematics team, piano, gymnastics, youth group and many volunteer opportunities in the community and Church. Crystal will be continuing her education at Spring Arbor University this fall and plans to major in youth ministry and participate on the cross country and track and field team while attending classes. Crystal is the daughter of Mario and Katie Tovar.
The Shelby Sanderson Combs Scholarship was established in 2012. It is available to eligible Sandusky High School graduating seniors.
