The Sanilac County Community Foundation is pleased to announce Ryleigh Ureel as the 2025 recipient of the Winston D. McCanham Memorial Scholarship.
Ryleigh Ureel, daughter of Ron and Heidi Ureel, graduated as Valedictorian of the Peck High School Class of 2025. During high school, Ryleigh participated in volleyball, basketball, track and field, and softball—holding the position of captain while earning all-state honors. She was also a member of the National Honor Society and Student Council. Ryleigh is attending St. Clair County Community College, pursuing an associate’s degree while continuing to play softball.
The Winston D. McCanham Memorial Scholarship was established to honor Winston’s life and is presented to a graduating Peck High School student who has maintained strong academic performance throughout high school.
