The Sanilac County Community Foundation is pleased to announce Kate Hartman as the 2025 recipient of the Lowell Driver Woods & Whitetail Scholarship.
Kate Hartman, daughter of Lou and Stacie Hartman, graduated from Croswell-Lexington High School. During high school, she was involved in 4-H, FFA, and received her welding certification. Kate is attending Laramie County Community College in Cheyenne, Wyoming studying Natural Resource Management.
The Lowell Driver Wildlife Memorial Scholarship was established for Sanilac County graduating seniors who show a passion for natural resources as a hobby or a career. Lowell Driver was a successful businessman whose passion was bow hunting and all things outdoors, especially scouting whitetail deer in his Sanilac County woods. In his wildlife pursuits, he dedicated much of his time to land restoration, wildlife management, and ecology. Preference is given to graduates who demonstrate a strong interest and involvement in the outdoors.
This scholarship is administered through the Sanilac County Community Foundation (SCCF). For more information on scholarship opportunities, visit www.SanilacFoundation.org or contact the Community Foundation office at 810-648-3634.
