The Sanilac County Community Foundation is pleased to announce Chance Kern as the 2024 recipient of the Michael and Patricia Watson Scholarship.
Chance is the son of Jennifer and Timothy Kern, and a graduate of Croswell-Lexington High School. He is attending St. Clair County Community College until he transfers to Oakland University to pursue a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Chance extends his heartfelt gratitude to his parents for shaping him into the person he is today and the Watson Family for supporting him with a scholarship through the Sanilac County Community Foundation.
The Michael and Patricia Watson Scholarship, established by the Watson Family, supports graduating seniors from Croswell-Lexington High School who aspire to attend St. Clair County Community College. This scholarship underscores the importance of accessibility and flexibility in higher education by welcoming applicants from all academic programs and GPA levels, encouraging students to pursue their educational goals after high school.
