The Sanilac County Community Foundation is pleased to announce Thomas Geiger as one of the 2024 recipients of the MVP Disc Sports Manufacturing Innovation Scholarship.

Thomas is the son of Chad and Lori Geiger and a graduate of Brown City High School. During high school, Thomas took college classes, making the president’s list twice, while also working to obtain his Michigan Transfer Agreement (MTA). He attended the Honors Banquet for six years, was a member of the 2024 GTC All-Conference Academic Team, and played on the varsity basketball and baseball teams- helping win a league title in basketball and district titles in both basketball and baseball. He was also an All-Academic Scholar Athlete, a member of the National Honors Society and Class Secretary his junior and senior year. Thomas is attending Oakland University majoring in Electrical Engineering.

The MVP Disc Sports Manufacturing Innovation Scholarship was established to help graduates pursuing a higher education in skilled trades. As a manufacturing company, MVP Disc Sports feels there is a growing shortage of technical skills and that it is important to revitalize these skills so that we are able to remain competitive in the global manufacturing market.

This scholarship is administered through the Sanilac County Community Foundation (SCCF). For more information on scholarship opportunities through the Sanilac County Community Foundation, contact the Community Foundation office at 810-648-3634.
