The Sanilac County Community Foundation is pleased to announce one of this year’s 2024 Croswell-Lexington High School graduates, Christina Seghi as one of the recipients of the Kayla (Gordon) Kelly Scholarship.
Christina is attending Michigan State University to pursue a degree in Graphic Design. She graduated from Croswell-Lexington High School with a 4.1 GPA and as a Senior Scholar. In high school Christina was involved in Student Council, Class of 2024 Executive Board, National Honor Society, Students Against Destructive Decisions, Sanilac County Youth Advisory Council, Art Club, Prom Committee, and Varsity Track and Field. She also attended the Career Center through the Graphic Communications Program, and her parents are David and Karen Seghi.
This scholarship is in memory of Kayla (Gordon) Kelly. Kayla was a graduate of Croswell-Lexington High School. “She was a great student, she played sports, was on the yearbook committee, and participated in drama productions.” She then went on to graduate from Ferris State University and worked for the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services in the Grand Rapids area. Kayla passed away on February 14, 2021. We would like to remember Kayla as helping students through this scholarship.
